Hong Kong, as one of the leading international financial hubs, has been witnessing growing needs for FinTech professionals and talents.

The HKU Master of Science in Financial Technology and Data Analytics [MSc(FTDA)] Programme aims to prepare students for a career in the ever-changing world of FinTech.  It has an interdisciplinary curriculum by drawing on the expertise from diverse areas of engineering, business, law and statistics, with a technology focus.  Through the courses, students will gain essential knowledge and FinTech skills necessary for navigating the changing landscape of the finance industry.  Besides a strong understanding of finance and technology, students will also have a well-balanced critical awareness of ethnical and regulatory constraints and knowledge of the hottest industry trends.

It is ideal for students who are interested in the financial technology sector, as they would learn new competencies in new technologies such as AI (artificial intelligence), blockchain, big data analysis, financial fraud analytics, etc.  Given the growth of the FinTech industry and the move of many financial institutions to embracing the disruptive nature of FinTech, we are confident that knowledge and skills gained from completing this programme will place our graduates in an excellent position to advance their career.
